Evening openings

Evening openings

What are your plans on the evenings of October 6 and October 7? If you’re free, we’d love you to pop down to our first evening openings. On 6 October we’re hosting a quiz night, while 7 October brings Tex Mex food followed by the stunning musical line-up of Steve Balsamo, Andy Collins and Andy Morse. We’re delighted with how things have gone in the daytimes, so evening opening seemed like the natural next step – and we’ve applied for a license so that we can offer alcoholic drinks as well as our regular coffees and soft drinks. Mary’s Tex Mex menu will cost just £12.95 for three courses, kicking off with unlimited tortilla chips and fresh, zingy home-made salsa. Next up will be 2 chicken enchiladas. They’re served with colourful Mexican rice. For pudding we’re going for all out comfort food, with home-made apple dumplings with their own sweet sauce poured over with vanilla ice cream. Vegetarian options will be available when you book in advance. If you decide to stay on for the music, you’ll get to hear three of South Wales’ most respected singer songwriters, all with a distinctively alt-country, Americana vibe – perfect for a US-style coffee shop! We’re also looking forward to the quiz on Thursday 6 October, and are hard at work dreaming up some challenging questions. If you fancy taking part, please call in and book a space. There’s a limit of four people per team, and extended Panini menu served until 9 and cakes and drinks until closing. On Thursdays, beginning 6 October, we will not close at at 5 like normal, but gradually morph into our fun new Thursday night identity…..Quiz Night! And every Friday, after closing at 5 we will reopen from 6pm ‘til 11 for a great value evening meal followed by acoustic music. We’ll keep you updated as more performers get booked.
